Stell Timepieces repeats clock and watch forms across the glass, dials and gears tiling the sheet with an old world clockwork rhythm. The Silver coating reads bright and reflective over those timepiece shapes, outlining each dial with a metallic sheen. The pattern is offered on clear and black base, and the base controls how sharply the silver forms stand out. This pattern is by artist Chris Stell.
Silver is the most mirror like of the dichroic coatings, and on one side it tints as you turn the glass. The clock shapes catch cool silver at most angles and shift toward faint blue or warm champagne hints when tilted. Clear base lets light move through the timepiece openings; black base makes the silver dials pop against a dark field.
