Crab Murrini/ Millefiore COE90

Each slice shows a bold orange crab set against a rich translucent blue field. The crab is seen from above with outstretched claws and a rounded body, a solid, clearly legible shape that holds up at murrini scale. The warm orange against the cool blue keeps it easy to position and easy to read in a finished piece.

Murrini, also called millefiore, are small cross-section slices of patterned glass cane. Place individual slices on the surface of a COE90 piece before firing to add decorative accents to jewelry, pendants, plates, dishes, suncatchers, and ornaments.

What COE glass do I use with these murrini?
These are COE90 murrini. Combine them only with glass of the same COE. Mixing glass of different expansion rates can cause cracking during the firing cycle or after the piece cools.

Sold by the pack; slice sizes and counts vary from pack to pack, so you get a natural range of sizes to work with.

How do I use these slices in a fused glass project?
Arrange individual slices on the surface of a flat or kiln-formed COE90 piece before firing. A full fuse melts them flat and flush with the surrounding field; a tack fuse stops short and leaves them slightly raised.
