This sheet carries 16 gold heart decals arranged in a four-by-four grid, each filled with its own distinct interior pattern. The designs span a wide range of motifs, from geometric fills such as crosshatch, chevron, and diamond lattice, to spiral pinwheels and radiating sunburst lines, to organic patterns including floral mandalas, feathered scrollwork, and vine flourishes. Every heart shares the same warm gold metallic finish, giving the set a cohesive look while each design stays visually distinct.
These are water-slide decals fired onto already-fired glass. Cut out a single decal, float it in room-temperature water for 30 to 60 seconds until it loosens from its backing paper, slide it into position on clean dry pre-fired glass, then smooth out trapped water and air bubbles from the center outward. Allow the piece to dry completely before placing it in the kiln. Because the decal fires onto the surface rather than fusing as a layer, no COE matching is required and it works with any pre-fired glass.
Are the designs all different?
Yes. The sheet holds 16 heart decals and no two share the same interior pattern, so one sheet gives you a full range of geometric, spiral, and botanical motifs in a matching gold metallic finish.
Does the metallic finish affect firing?
Yes. The gold finish is metallic. Fire to 1240 to 1370 degrees, holding toward the lower end of that range to keep the metallic dense. See the Working Notes for the full schedule.
How do I apply one of these decals?
Cut the decal you want from the sheet and soak it in room-temperature water until it begins to release from its paper backing, typically 30 to 60 seconds. Position it on clean, pre-fired glass and slide the backing away. Use a soft squeegee or fingertip to press out water and bubbles from the center outward. Let the piece air-dry fully before loading the kiln.

Working Notes
Apply decals only to clean, grease-free, pre-fired glass. Allow the decorated piece to dry completely before placing it in the kiln; residual moisture can cause the decal to bubble or shift during firing. Because these are gold metallic decals, fire toward the lower end of the range to preserve the metallic density. Test a single decal on a spare piece of glass before committing a finished project, as results vary from kiln to kiln. Anneal for the thickness of your glass.
Suggested Firing Schedule (the manufacturer's recommendation, a starting point only): Firing range is roughly 1240 to 1370 degrees F; these designs fire toward the lower end to preserve density. This is a suggested starting point, not a guarantee of results. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees.
50 DPH to 185 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 20 min.
150 DPH to 300 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
250 DPH to 500 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
600 DPH to 1000 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Then to 1240 to 1370 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Anneal for the thickness of the glass.
