A transparent reddish plum, mid to dark in tone, reading like garnet or cranberry juice; the smaller balls glow a lighter red brown while the larger ones deepen toward wine. Several show the small internal bubbles typical of fused frit.
Frit balls are small round beads of fused glass, about 3 to 6 mm, that fire in as berries, eyes and dots without cutting a circle. Made from Bullseye glass at COE90, this color fuses with tested COE90 glass alone. Bags hold one half ounce, about 100 to 130 balls. Bullseye lists 001405 Light Plum as stable and non reactive with no strike, so no hold is needed and the bag color is the fired color.
Over white or clear the balls fire as translucent cranberry dots, and at a tack fuse the domes catch light like berries on a bramble. Reach for them in grape clusters, autumn fruit and jewelry cabochons where a warm red violet glow is wanted over pale ground.
