Oceanside Aventurine Blue Transparent (style 138-96) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible frit, crushed transparent blue glass with an aventurine sparkle.
Appearance
A deep transparent blue shot through with fine metallic aventurine flecks. The chips read dark navy to cobalt, with bright pinpoints of copper-gold sparkle scattered across them for a starry shimmer over the blue.
Working notes
The sparkle shows best on the surface, so scatter the frit on top rather than burying it. A full fuse melts the chips in and softens the sparkle; a tack fuse or surface sprinkle keeps the glitter proud. As a transparent it lets underlying color show through between the flecks.
Reactions

Using the frit
Frit comes in grades from fine to coarse for shading, blending, filling detail, and casting. Sprinkle it dry over a base, pack it into a mold, or blend grades for gradients.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a test tile first.
