Oceanside Dark Blue Artique Transparent (style OGT136AF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a deep cobalt transparent in the crinkled Artique texture.
Appearance
The sheet is a deep cobalt blue, transparent so light glows through in a rich royal-blue tone. The Artique surface is a crushed, crinkled antique texture, a web of creased facets that catch and scatter the light and give the blue a shattered, ice-like depth. Faint darker plum shadows move through where the texture folds.
Working notes
Transparent dark blue glows deep over a light base and turns nearly black over dark backing, so the layer underneath sets its depth. The Artique texture stays sharp under a tack fuse for a faceted, glittering surface, while a full fuse relaxes the creases toward a smoother, glossier face.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
