Oceanside Dark Blue Opalescent (style OGT23076SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a deep royal blue in a smooth opalescent sheet.
Appearance
A deep royal cobalt with a smooth, glossy surface. The opalescent color is dense, reading as a solid saturated blue rather than a clear transparent.
Working notes
The face fires flat and glossy, and both sides handle the same way. It holds its color over any background rather than passing light through. A full fuse keeps the surface even; a tack fuse preserves the edges of stacked pieces.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a test tile first.
