Oceanside Dark Blue (style OGTN136F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, thin flat ribbons of deep transparent blue glass.
Appearance
A rich cobalt-leaning dark blue, transparent and glossy. The ribbons read as a deep saturated line, clear where light passes through and stronger where the glass stacks.
Working notes
As a transparent the blue reads as a colored line over light bases and deepens as it piles up. A full fuse melts the ribbons flush, a tack fuse leaves them raised for texture.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Using the noodles
Noodles are thin flat ribbon strands of glass. Lay them on a base to draw stripes, borders, and linear detail, or bundle and fuse them into pattern bars.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
