Oceanside Medium Amber (style OGT1108RRF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a warm transparent amber with a rough rolled texture.
Appearance
A rich honey amber, transparent and glowing, with warm orange and golden-brown tones moving through it. The rough rolled surface adds a rippled, hand-textured face that scatters light, so the color looks molten rather than flat.
Working notes
The texture sits on one face; the reverse is smoother. A full fuse melts it flat and glossy, so to keep the ripple use it face up on a tack or low fuse. As a transparent amber it glows over light backgrounds and deepens toward brown over dark ones.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
