Oceanside Medium Amber (style OGT1108WF) is a warm amber transparent with the rippled Waterglass surface, System 96 96 COE fusible sheet glass.
Appearance
A rich golden amber transparent, with flowing bands of honey gold and darker root beer brown. The Waterglass ripple breaks the light into warm highlights across the amber ground.
Working notes
The rippled face sits on one side, the reverse smoother. Fired texture-side up through a tack fuse, the ripples stay visible; a full fuse relaxes them toward flat. As a transparent it carries light and deepens where it overlaps.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. Matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility across makers, so fire a small test tile when mixing brands.
