Oceanside Dark Blue Opalescent (style OGTN2306F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, a deep cobalt blue in flat ribbon strands.
Appearance
Flat ribbon strands of deep cobalt blue. The color is opalescent and solid, a rich saturated blue with a glossy surface and a slightly ridged profile.
Working notes
This solid dark blue makes bold outlines and bands over lighter grounds. Laid flat, the noodles fuse into a base at a full fuse or stay slightly raised at a tack fuse.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Use them for stripes, borders, and fine detail: lay them flush for clean lines, cut to length, or overlap for a woven look.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with the rest of the System 96 line. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee a fit, so fire a test tile first.
