Oceanside Orange (style OGTN2702F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, flat orange opalescent glass ribbons.
Appearance
A warm golden orange, opaque and glowing, closer to ripe amber-orange than red. The flat ribbons hold solid color along their length for a bright, even line.
Working notes
Being flat and thin, the noodles fuse quickly, so watch them at the top of your schedule. The opalescent ribbon stays solid over lighter or darker glass. A tack fuse keeps it raised; a full fuse sinks it flush with the base.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Using the noodles
Lay them side by side for banded fields, weave them into patterns, or stand them on edge for depth. They snap to length by hand.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
