Oceanside Orange (style OGT171RRF) is a bright transparent orange in a rough rolled System 96 96 COE fusible sheet.
Appearance
The textured face carries a rippled, hammered relief that scatters light and adds sparkle across a warm, glowing orange.
Working notes
The textured face sits on one side, the reverse smoother. Fired texture-side up, a tack fuse keeps much of the relief while a full fuse melts it flatter. As a transparent it glows over light bases and deepens over dark ones.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. Matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility across makers, so fire a small test tile when mixing brands.
