Oceanside Orange Transparent Artique (style OGT171AF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a bright orange transparent with the Artique crinkled surface texture.
Appearance
The photo shows a vivid, saturated orange, fully transparent so light glows through it, carried on the Artique texture of sharp, faceted crinkles across the face. The angular surface breaks the light into bright and shadowed facets, giving a crushed-ice or shattered look over the clear orange color.
Working notes
The Artique texture sits on one face while the reverse stays smoother, so you can choose which side shows. Over a light base or lightbox the orange glows and the faceted surface sparkles; over dark it reads deeper. On a full fuse the texture flattens toward smooth and the glass turns clear orange; on a tack fuse or draped work the crinkled surface keeps its character. It works as a textured cap over color or as a lively transparent field.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
