Oceanside Pale Amber Noodles (style OGTN1102F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, flat ribbon strands of transparent pale amber glass.
Appearance
A bundle of flat amber ribbon strands, transparent and glowing a warm honey gold. Each noodle is a thin flat strip with clean edges, and gathered together they read as a bright golden amber.
Working notes
Noodles are wider than a stringer, so they lay down as small stripes rather than fine lines. On a full fuse they melt into the surface and round slightly, while a tack fuse keeps them raised as ribbon lines. As a transparent amber they warm the base beneath them.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Using the noodles
Noodles are flat glass ribbons used for stripes, borders, and bolder linework than stringers give. Lay them across a base for banded designs, basket-weave patterns, or wider outlines. They can be snapped to length as needed.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
