Oceanside Pale Amber Rough Rolled (style OGT1102RRF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a warm transparent amber with a rough rolled surface.
Appearance
The photo shows a soft golden amber, transparent and lit from within, broken up by a rough rolled surface that scatters light into cloudy horizontal bands. The color moves through gentle honey and pale gold tones, and the textured face gives it a rippled, hand-rolled look rather than a flat gloss.
Working notes
The rough rolled texture sits on one face while the reverse is smoother. A full fuse melts the texture toward flat and glossy, so if you want to keep the rolled look, tack fuse or fire it with the texture up. As a transparent amber it warms whatever sits beneath it. It is a sulfur-bearing color, so it can react against copper-bearing glass, as noted below.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
