Oceanside Pale Amber (style OGT1102WF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a light transparent amber with a Waterglass ripple texture.
Appearance
The Waterglass surface gives a gentle rippled, watery texture across the face. Held to light it glows a warm honey gold, with the ripple breaking the light into soft moving highlights. The color stays light and clear rather than deep.
Working notes
The Waterglass ripple sits on one face while the reverse is smoother. Fired texture-side up, a tack fuse keeps much of the ripple while a full fuse melts it flatter. As a light transparent it glows over white and light bases and warms up over dark ones.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
