Oceanside Sky Blue (style OGTN5331F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible noodles, flat transparent blue glass ribbons.
Appearance
The noodles are a bright, clear sky blue, so the flat ribbons glow a fresh aqua where the light passes through. The color is clean and vivid, closer to a bright cerulean than a deep navy.
Working notes
As flat, thin glass the noodles fuse quickly, so watch them at the top of your schedule. As a transparent the ribbon carries light. A tack fuse keeps the raised ribbon on the surface, while a full fuse sinks it flush with the base.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Noodles are flat glass ribbon strands for stripes, borders and detail. Lay them side by side for banded fields, weave them into patterns, or stand them on edge for depth. They snap to length by hand and tack or full fuse in place.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
