Oceanside Sky Blue Artique (style OGT5331AF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a bright transparent sky blue with an Artique surface.
Appearance
A bright, clear sky blue broken up by an Artique surface texture that looks like frosted, crackled sheets of ice pressed into the glass. The clean cheerful color reads transparent, while the icy texture scatters light into pale angular facets across the sheet.
Working notes
The Artique texture sits on one face, with the reverse smoother. A full fuse melts the crackled texture toward flat and glossy, so tack fuse or fire the textured face up if you want to keep the icy look. As a transparent it glows over a light base. Being a copper-bearing color rated high, it reacts strongly against sulfur-bearing glass, as noted below.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
