Oceanside Sky Blue Waterglass (style OGT5331WF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a clear aqua blue in the rippled Waterglass surface.
Appearance
The color is a bright transparent aqua blue that sits between turquoise and sky. The Waterglass surface carries a soft rolling ripple across the face, so the sheet looks like moving water with light and reflection shifting over the texture. Where light passes through, the aqua stays clear and luminous.
Working notes
The Waterglass ripple lives on one face while the reverse is flatter, which lets you choose how much texture shows in a finished piece. As a transparent it reads brightest over a light source. A full fuse softens and can flatten much of the ripple into a gentle wave, while a tack fuse keeps the water texture crisp. Facing the textured side up preserves the most surface movement.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
