Oceanside Turquoise Blue Opal Noodles (style OGTN2334F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible glass in flat ribbon strands, a bright turquoise blue.
Appearance
A bright turquoise, a clean light aqua leaning toward sky blue. As an opalescent the strands are opaque, reading as solid turquoise rather than see-through, and gathered together the color stays even and vivid.
Working notes
A full fuse melts the strands flat and blends their edges into the base; a tack fuse leaves the ribbon shape raised for texture.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Use them to lay stripes, borders, and clean linear detail across a base sheet. Place a band of color where you want it, then cut to length with a running or nipping tool.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with the rest of the System 96 line. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee a fit, so fire a test tile first.
