Oceanside Turquoise Blue Opalescent (style OGT23374SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a bright turquoise opalescent solid.
Appearance
This is a bright turquoise, a clean blue-green with a tropical, almost aqua tone. It is opalescent and even across the sheet, reading as a solid color with soft shifts where light moves over the surface. There is no streaking; the turquoise holds steady from edge to edge.
Working notes
As an opalescent this turquoise behaves as a solid, sitting opaque over both light and dark backgrounds rather than passing light through. Both faces are smooth, so it fires either side up. A full fuse levels the surface to a glossy finish, while a tack fuse keeps layered pieces raised.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
