The white outlines the pair and the spiral runs at an even pitch. On a clear base the thread appears to hover.
A thread this fine reads as a line of colour floating on the base rather than a stripe laid over it, which is the point of streamer cane. It is COE90, hand pulled from Bullseye glass, and fuses only with COE90 glass.
