At a full fuse, the murrini will melt down flat and flush into the surface of your base glass, producing a smooth, integrated result. A tack fuse stops short of full melting and preserves more of the raised shape of each slice, keeping its dimensional character visible. Because these slices are translucent, the color of the base glass underneath will influence the finished look, so factor that into your layout.
