This printed sheet carries 19 circular decals in a range of geometric motifs: spirals that coil outward from a center, concentric rings accented with rows of dots, sunburst designs with radiating lines, a fine grid sphere, gear-toothed rings, and solid discs. Most are printed in warm gold, copper, and amber tones that read as metallic once fired. A smaller cluster at the lower left presents the same circle styles in deep black and dark red, giving a bold graphic accent for compositions that call for stronger contrast.
The Circles Decal Sheet is a water-slide fusible glass decal product. Soak each decal briefly in water, slide it from its paper backing onto a clean pre-fired glass surface, smooth out air and moisture, then allow the piece to dry fully before loading the kiln. Once fired, the design bonds permanently to the surface. Because the decal sits on top of the glass rather than fusing as a compatible layer, no COE matching is required and it works with any glass in your studio.
Can I use the gold and black circles together in one piece? Yes. Place decals from different color groups on the same pre-fired glass surface, allow the piece to dry completely, then fire once. All of these single-color decals fire in the same 1240 to 1370 degree range, so one firing suits the whole set.
Do I need a specific glass or a special kiln? No. These decals work with any glass because they fire onto the surface rather than fusing as a layer. Any kiln that reaches 1240 to 1370 degrees and holds a soak will work. Follow the schedule below and anneal for the thickness of your glass.
How do I apply a decal cleanly without tearing it? Soak the decal in room-temperature water for about 30 to 60 seconds until it releases from its backing. Slide it gently onto dry, grease-free pre-fired glass, then use a soft squeegee or fingertip to push water and bubbles outward from the center. Let the piece dry fully, ideally overnight, before firing.
How many decals are on the sheet? Each sheet holds 19 circle decals, printed on a 5.25 x 4 inch sheet.

Before applying, make sure your pre-fired glass is clean and free of oils or residue. Soak each decal until it slides freely from its backing, position it on the glass, smooth out all moisture and bubbles, and allow the piece to dry completely before placing it in the kiln. Rushing the drying step can cause steam to lift or distort the decal during firing. All of these single-color decals fire in the same 1240 to 1370 degree range.
Suggested Firing Schedule (a suggested starting point, not a guarantee of results; test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass): On fused glass these single-color prints fire to a final range of 1240 to 1370 degrees, held about 10 minutes and kept toward the lower end to preserve density. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees. 50 degrees per hour to 185 degrees, hold 20 min. 150 degrees per hour to 300 degrees, hold 15 min. 250 degrees per hour to 500 degrees, hold 15 min. 600 degrees per hour to 1000 degrees, hold 10 min. Then to 1240 to 1370 degrees, hold about 10 min. Anneal for the thickness of your glass.
