This sheet carries twelve dog breed illustrations drawn in a detailed vintage engraving style, arranged in three rows of four. The designs are rendered in fine black and gray linework with careful cross-hatching that evokes 19th-century natural-history prints. Breeds on the sheet include a spotted Dalmatian, a Rough Collie in a proud side profile, a stocky English Bulldog, a Pug, a Boxer or Boston-type with cropped ears, a small Pekingese, a fluffy Spitz or Chow type, and several sporting and companion dogs captured in lively poses, some rolling on their backs, rearing up, or standing squarely at attention.
These are water-slide transfer decals designed to be fired onto pre-fired glass surfaces. Because the decal bonds to the surface of an already-fused piece rather than being incorporated as a glass layer, they are compatible with any COE glass. To apply, cut out your chosen decal, soak it briefly in clean water until the film releases from the backing paper, slide it into position on clean pre-fired glass, smooth out any water or air bubbles with a soft squeegee or fingertip, allow the piece to dry fully, then fire. The result is a crisp, permanently fused image that adds graphic character to pendants, tiles, bowls, coasters, and panels.
What dog breeds are on this decal sheet? The sheet features twelve different dogs illustrated in vintage engraving style. Recognizable types include a Dalmatian, Rough Collie, English Bulldog, Pug, Boxer, Pekingese, and a Spitz or Chow type, alongside several sporting and companion breeds, each shown in a distinctive and active pose.
Can I use these decals on glass fused at a specific COE? Yes. The decal fires onto the surface of an already-fused piece and is not incorporated as a fused glass layer, so there is no COE compatibility concern. These decals work equally well on any COE glass.
How do I prepare the glass and apply the decal? Start with clean, pre-fired glass that is free of oils, fingerprints, and residue. Cut out the decal you want to use, soak it in water until the film releases from its paper backing, then slide it onto the glass surface. Use a soft tool to smooth out water and any trapped air, working from the center outward. Allow the piece to dry completely before placing it in the kiln.
Do I need to seal the decal after it fires? No. Once fired within the recommended temperature range, the decal becomes a permanent part of the glass surface and requires no post-fire coating or sealant.

Apply one decal at a time for the most control, and make sure the glass surface is completely clean and dry before you begin. Allow the decal to dry fully on the glass before loading the kiln. Because every kiln fires differently, treat the schedule below as a manufacturer-provided starting point, test a small sample piece first, and adjust ramp rates and hold times based on your specific kiln and results.
Suggested Firing Schedule (a suggested starting point only, not a guarantee of results; every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass): Firing range 1240 to 1370 degrees F, kept toward the lower end to keep the color dense. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees. 50 degrees per hour to 185 degrees, hold 20 minutes. 150 degrees per hour to 300 degrees, hold 15 minutes. 250 degrees per hour to 500 degrees, hold 15 minutes. 600 degrees per hour to 1000 degrees, hold 10 minutes. Then to 1240 to 1370 degrees, hold about 10 minutes. Anneal for the thickness of your glass.
