Gold Purple dots are a true violet with plenty of movement in the color: slices shift from a deep grape to a lighter, almost lavender purple across a single face, with streaks and a slight translucency at the edges. No two dots are quite the same shade.
Each dot is about 2 to 3 mm thick, cut from 6 mm cane, made from Bullseye glass and rated COE90; fuse it with COE90 glass only. The streaking means no two dots match, which suits anything organic. Cluster them as grapes on a cream dish, use them as violets on a pale green base, or set a few on white so the lighter veins show through.
How does gold purple behave on a base? It is dense enough to read as solid purple on black and shows its lighter streaks best on white, where a little light gets through the rims. The variation gives a field of these dots a hand-made look. Good for grapes, violets, amethyst-style jewelry and any purple that should not look flat.
