This sheet carries seven jellyfish illustrations drawn in a detailed, vintage natural-history style. The designs vary in size and composition: smaller silhouette forms sit in the corners, a mid-size specimen spreads a wide bell with long, gently curling tentacles in cool teal and green, and a larger centerpiece shows a rounded bell shaded in warm orange-amber at its center with trailing tentacles in deep green. One design presents a radial, top-down view with pale green arms fanning outward, offering a geometric contrast to the more naturalistic forms, and one of the fuller specimens carries a red-orange bell. The palette throughout is green and teal, with orange, amber, and red accents concentrated at the bell domes.
These are water-slide decals that bond to the surface of pre-fired glass during a second firing. Soak a cut decal in clean water until the paper backing releases, slide it into position on your clean, fired glass piece, smooth out any water and air bubbles, let it dry completely, then fire to seal the design to the glass. Because the decal sits on top of the glass surface rather than fusing within a glass stack, these sheets are compatible with any COE glass and work well on tiles, plates, fused panels, and jewelry components.
How do I apply the decal to my glass? Cut out the decal you want to use and soak it in clean water for 30 to 60 seconds until the paper backing releases freely. Slide the decal onto your clean, pre-fired glass surface, position it carefully, and smooth out any trapped water or air with a soft squeegee or your fingertip. Let the piece dry fully before loading it into the kiln.
What base glass color works best with these decals? These decals fire somewhat transparent, so they show most clearly on white or very light-colored base glass. On medium to darker base glass, the colors lose strength and the illustration detail may not read well. Plan your base glass selection before cutting your project pieces.
How many decals are on the sheet, and what sizes are available? The sheet holds seven jellyfish illustration decals. Individual sizes range from about 0.25 inch to 2.75 inches, giving you smaller forms for jewelry accents and larger ones for focal elements on tiles or plates.
Do these decals require a specific COE glass? No COE matching is required. Because the decal fires onto the surface of already-fired glass rather than fusing as a glass layer within a stack, it works with any COE glass you have on hand.

SKU: 155473 Sheet size: 5.25 x 4 inches Decals per sheet: 7 Decal size range: 0.25 inch to 2.75 inches Firing range: 1275 to 1380 degrees F Working Notes
These decals fire somewhat transparent on clear glass and show most clearly on white or very light-colored base glass. On medium to darker glass, the color fades noticeably, so choose your base accordingly. Let the decal dry completely before firing to prevent steam-related surface defects. Because the design sits on the outer surface of the finished piece, handle cured work with care to minimize abrasion over time.
Suggested Firing Schedule (the manufacturer's recommendation, a starting point only): Firing range is roughly 1275 to 1380 degrees F. These full-color prints are semi-translucent and read best on white or light glass. This is a suggested starting point, not a guarantee of results. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees. 50 DPH to 185 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 20 min. 150 DPH to 300 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min. 250 DPH to 500 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min. 600 DPH to 1000 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min. Then to 1275 to 1380 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min. Anneal for the thickness of the glass.
