Oceanside Turquoise Green is System 96 tested compatible 96 COE fusible frit, bright turquoise crushed glass.
Appearance
Bright, clean turquoise-aqua granules that read as a solid, saturated color in the pile, catching light along their cut edges. The tone is a lively pool-blue green.
Working notes
Frit has a large surface area: a thin scatter gives a light wash of turquoise, a deeper layer builds a solid band. Sprinkle it over base glass to shade and blend, or pack it into a mold for casting.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the frit
Sold in grades from powder to coarse; coarser grades keep texture through a tack fuse, and a full fuse melts the pieces smooth.
Fusing and compatibility
It fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so test-fire a small tile first.
