Model - Square 146GFE - 120 volt, inside dimenisons: 14.5" x 14.5" wide x 6" deep, fires to 1700°F
The first square 14" glass kiln is built with ample space for large 10" pieces. Glass firing kilns are used for fusing and forming of glass shapes through slumping, raking and combing; and can be used for firing precious metal clay jewelry and other low fire heat-treating. The Square 146GFE is equipped with a lid element for the fusing segment of the glass firing and a body element for the ramping up, down and annealing segments of the firing. A selector switch is on the electrical box to designate either the lid or body element to heat during the firing. One of the elements is used at a time because of the limited power of 120 volts. If the selector switch remains in the neutral position, neither element will heat. Models come equipped with pilot light, 18” tall metal stand, stainless steel jacket, and Bartlett Instruments 3 Key electronic controller. Controller data is entered by scrolling through the up and down arrow keys for the desired ramp/hold programming.
Upgrade to the 12 key digital RTC-1000 controller for more ramp-hold user programs and multiple features including delay start, preheat, skip step and many more for precise firings every time. Messages and Information are available for reviewing a firing profile before or during the firing, and for viewing the current segment the firing is in. Other options include the lid lift assist, which makes it easy to open and close heavy kiln lids, bead door, quartz glass viewing window, Type S thermocouple, vent, and much more!
