Plum Striker Opalescent Frit Balls COE90

Translucent plum purple with visible movement inside each ball: lighter wisps, a few darker cores, and a range from grape to mauve across the bag. The surface is glossy and the glass lets some light through rather than blocking it like a dense opal.

Frit balls are small round beads of fused glass, about 3 to 6 mm, that fire onto a layup as finished dots. COE90, made of Bullseye glass, for tested COE90 layups. A half ounce bag carries roughly 100 to 130 balls, enough for grape bunches, plums and dusk toned accents across several pieces.

How does Plum Striker behave in the kiln?
Bullseye says 000332 strikes to a uniform color, often with small mottling, that the color darkens with extended heatwork, and that variation across production dates is normal; no specific hold is published. These balls already show the struck plum, so a tack fuse leaves them lighter and more mauve while a full fuse darkens them. The glass is lead bearing and may react with selenium and sulfur colors, so keep it off French Vanilla and the cadmium reds unless a dark outline is the goal.
