Rainbow Heart Decal Sheet

This sheet holds 20 heart-shaped decals, each filled with bold horizontal stripes in classic rainbow order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. The hearts are arranged in four rows of five across the 5.25 by 4 inch sheet, with alternating hearts flipped so they point in different directions, and each decal carries a fine outline that keeps the heart shape crisp and distinct against the white carrier sheet.

The Rainbow Heart Decal Sheet is a water-slide fusible glass decal product. Cut a decal from the sheet, soak it briefly in water, slide it onto the surface of clean pre-fired glass, smooth out any water and air bubbles, and allow it to dry fully before loading the kiln. Because the decal fires onto the glass surface rather than fusing as a compatible glass layer, these decals work with any COE glass.

What size is the sheet and how many decals does it include?
The sheet measures 5.25 by 4 inches (13.3 by 10 cm) and includes 20 individual rainbow heart decals arranged in four rows of five.

Can I use these decals on any COE glass?
Yes. Because the decals fire onto the surface of pre-fired glass rather than fuse as a compatible glass layer, they are compatible with any COE glass, including 90 COE and 96 COE systems.

Do the decals need to dry before going into the kiln?
Yes. After positioning and smoothing the decal flat, allow the piece to dry completely before placing it in the kiln. Any trapped moisture can cause the decal to blister or shift during the early ramp stages of firing.

Can the decals be trimmed to a custom shape?
Yes, you can cut individual decals before soaking if you want a different silhouette or smaller size. You may also place multiple decals on a single piece of glass; test results carefully, as layering adds surface thickness and may affect the fired finish.

Working Notes

Work on pre-fired, thoroughly clean glass. Soak the cut decal in water for approximately 30 to 60 seconds, slide it into position, and use a soft squeegee or your fingertip to remove water and air bubbles. Let the piece dry fully before loading the kiln. Any remaining moisture can disrupt the decal surface during the early firing stages. These decals have a firing range of 1275 to 1380 degrees.

Suggested Firing Schedule (the manufacturer's recommendation, a starting point only): Firing range is roughly 1275 to 1380 degrees F. These full-color prints are semi-translucent and read best on white or light glass. This is a suggested starting point, not a guarantee of results. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees.
50 DPH to 185 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 20 min.
150 DPH to 300 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
250 DPH to 500 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
600 DPH to 1000 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Then to 1275 to 1380 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Anneal for the thickness of the glass.
