The Small Heart Slumping mold from Creative Paradise slumps a pre-made glass blank into a heart shaped dish. The mold measures 6.25 inches by 5.5 inches with a depth of 1.25 inches, producing a finished heart form suited to small decorative dishes, display pieces, or jewelry components.
Like all ceramic slumping molds, this one is COE agnostic. Place a pre-cut or fused glass blank over the form and fire to a slumping temperature so gravity draws the glass into the heart shape. As a ceramic kiln mold it is reusable across many firings when prepped and cared for properly.
What does the Small Heart Slumping mold make? It slumps a pre-cut or fused glass blank into a single heart shaped dish. The mold measures 6.25 inches by 5.5 inches with a depth of 1.25 inches.
What COE glass can I use with this mold? Any COE. Ceramic slumping molds are COE agnostic, so the same mold works with COE96, COE90, or other fusible glass. Match your firing schedule to the glass you are using.
How do I prep the mold before slumping? Coat the mold surface with a kiln shelf primer such as a boron nitride spray (for example ZYP) or a kiln wash such as Hotline Primo Primer , and let it dry completely before placing your glass blank so the glass does not stick.
What size glass blank should I use? Cut or prepare a blank that covers the heart form fully. A single layer of compatible fusible glass or a pre-fused piece both work. Test fit before firing to confirm the blank covers the shape.

Working Notes
These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a slumping schedule suited to your glass and kiln.
Prime the mold surface with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer , or a kiln wash, and let it dry completely before placing your glass blank.
Place a pre-cut or fused glass blank over the form so it covers the heart shape fully. A single layer of compatible fusible glass or a pre-fused piece both work.
The mold is COE agnostic. Use a slumping schedule matched to your glass, adjusting the final anneal soak for your COE.
Let the kiln cool fully before removing the slumped piece. Re coat the mold with primer as needed between firings.
The Slide Hi Temp brand separator is not recommended with these molds.
Creative Paradise Suggested Firing Schedule
This is a suggested COE96 starting schedule, not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently. Test a small run and adjust the schedule for your glass and kiln.
Slump (COE96):
Segment Rate Temp (F) Hold 1 300 1260 20 2 9999 950* 60
*Segment 2 is the anneal soak at 950 F for COE96. If using COE90, adjust this temperature to 900 F.
