Turquoise Blue Transparent dots are a bright, glassy turquoise that glows wherever light passes through, and a pile of them shows brilliant blue rims on every slice, a deeper teal-blue where the dots overlap, and a faint frost on the cut faces that clears on firing.
About 2 to 3 mm thick and sliced from 6 mm cane, these are COE90 dots made from Bullseye glass, and they fuse only with COE90 glass. Light is what makes this color work. Over white a tack fused dot is a drop of tropical water; over clear on a suncatcher it glows. Use them for fish scales, dragonfly wings, or a trail of raindrops on a pale plate.
How does turquoise blue read on a base? Transparent, so the base decides the depth. Over white or clear it fires to a bright, glowing turquoise; over black it darkens to a deep teal. Tack fused on a light base each dot becomes a small turquoise lens, which is the effect for water drops, tropical seas, fish scales and dragonfly wings.
