This sheet presents eight dragonfly designs in a coordinated two-color palette of chartreuse yellow and medium green. The dragonflies vary in size, wing span, and orientation: several feature bold, fully rendered forms with wings spread wide, while others are smaller and more compact. Wing detail is a consistent strength throughout, with cross-hatching, parallel venation lines, and fine striping that give each insect a layered, translucent quality. One design takes a looser, illustrative approach, depicting a dragonfly among tall grass or reeds for contrast against the more solidly rendered forms. The two-color treatment holds the set together visually while allowing each dragonfly to stand as its own focal point.
These are water-slide fusible glass decals designed to be applied to pre-fired glass. Cut the design you want from the sheet, soak it in water until the backing releases, then slide it onto clean, pre-fired glass, smooth out water and air bubbles, and let the piece dry completely before firing. Because these decals fire onto the glass surface rather than fusing as a compatible glass layer, they work with any COE glass.
What types of glass are compatible with these decals? All COE systems work. These decals fire onto the surface of pre-fired glass rather than into the glass body, so there is no COE restriction. Use them on any glass system in your studio.
How do I apply a water-slide decal to glass? Cut the desired dragonfly from the sheet, then soak it in room-temperature water for about 30 to 60 seconds until it slides freely from its backing paper. Position the backing against your clean, pre-fired glass and slide the paper away while holding the decal in place. Use a soft squeegee or fingertip to smooth from the center outward, removing trapped water and air pockets. Allow the piece to dry completely before loading it into the kiln.
How many decals come on this sheet? The sheet includes eight dragonfly decals in a range of sizes, giving you options for both accent details and larger focal-point placements.
Can I save unused decals for a later project? Yes. Cut only the decals you need and store the remainder flat in a sealed sleeve or its original packaging, away from moisture and direct light, until your next session.

SKU: 170525 Sold as a printed water-slide decal sheet Sheet size: 5.25 x 4 inches Decal count: 8 dragonfly designs in chartreuse yellow and green Firing range: 1275 to 1380 degrees Fires onto pre-fired glass of any COE Working Notes
Apply decals only to clean, pre-fired glass. Fingerprints, oils, or dust on the surface will interfere with adhesion and can cause lifting or bubbling during firing. After positioning and smoothing the decal, allow the piece to dry for several hours or overnight before placing it in the kiln.
Suggested Firing Schedule (the manufacturer's recommendation, a starting point only): This full-color sheet fires to a peak of 1275 to 1380 degrees, held about 10 minutes. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees. Ramp 50 DPH to 185 degrees, hold 20 minutes. Ramp 150 DPH to 300 degrees, hold 15 minutes. Ramp 250 DPH to 500 degrees, hold 15 minutes. Ramp 600 DPH to 1000 degrees, hold 10 minutes. Ramp 1000 DPH to 1275 to 1380 degrees, hold 10 minutes. Anneal for the thickness of your glass. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small sample before committing a finished piece.
