Oceanside Yellow Semi Opal (style OGTN161F) is a bright semi opal yellow supplied as flat ribbon noodles, System 96 96 COE fusible.
Appearance
Flat ribbon strands of bright yellow glass, denser than a clear transparent but still letting some light through. The surface is glossy with a flat, slightly ridged profile.
Working notes
Being semi opal, it holds a strong, saturated color. Laid flat, the strands melt into a base on a full fuse or stay slightly raised on a tack fuse.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the noodles
Noodles are thin flat ribbons for stripes, borders and fine detail. Lay them flush for clean lines, cut them to length, or overlap them for a woven look.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. Matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility across makers, so fire a small test tile when mixing brands.
