Oceanside Yellow Semi-Opalescent Stringers (style OGTS161F) are System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, thin threads of golden yellow glass.
Appearance
Thin threads of warm golden yellow. As a semi-opal they are neither fully clear nor fully solid, so they glow softly and gain a honeyed depth where they bundle, while single threads read light and warm.
Working notes
The soft warm line stays legible on both light and dark grounds. A full fuse melts the threads flat; a tack fuse keeps a raised line.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Using the stringers
Lay them straight for borders and grids, snap them to length, or warm and bend them into curves and script. They fuse in for crisp detail without adding much thickness.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
