Oceanside Persian Green Frit (style 2224-96) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible frit, crushed Persian green glass in an opaque jade tone.
Appearance
A soft Persian green, an opalescent jade to teal that reads solid rather than see-through. The crushed grains are even in color and give the pile a cool, muted green.
Working notes
As an opalescent green it keeps its jade color over any background rather than glowing through. A heavier layer covers more fully; a light scatter dusts color across the surface.
Reactions
This color is not on the System 96 reactive list, so it sits next to other colors without forming a reaction line. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors that do react.
Using the frit
Frit is crushed glass sold in grades from powder to coarse for shading, blending, and casting. Scatter it for solid color fields and speckled effects, pack it into molds for cast pieces, or mix it with other colors.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
