Oceanside Sea Green Transparent Stringers (style OGTS5281F) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible stringers, thin threads of soft sea-green transparent glass.
Appearance
Fine glass threads in a pale, cool sea green with a light aqua tint, fully transparent so light passes through. The stringers are thin and rounded, near-clear where thinnest, and the green stays soft and even across the bundle.
Working notes
As a soft transparent green, the stringers read subtle over a light base and gain depth over a dark one. A full fuse melts them flush for clean linework; a tack fuse holds a raised line.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated low on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Using the stringers
Stringers are thin glass threads for lines, outlines, and fine detail on fused and coldworked pieces. Snap them to length and place them straight or curved.
Fusing and compatibility
It fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so test-fire a small tile first.
